EQUIP People is looking for experienced WTR Operators for a range of civil construction, earthworks, roading and infrastructure projects across Wellington.
We're looking for operators who know their machines, take pride in their work and can confidently work on busy sites while keeping safety and productivity front of mind.
We're particularly interested in operators with experience on:
- GPS-equipped Excavators
- Rollers
- Loaders
- Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT)
- Graders
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your machine and experience, you may be responsible for:
- Operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Working from site plans, levels and grades
- Using GPS machine control systems where required
- Completing daily pre-start and equipment checks
- Carrying out earthworks, roading and civil construction tasks
- Working to project specifications and daily programmes
- Communicating with site supervisors and other operators
- Maintaining a clean, safe and productive work area
- Following all site and health & safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Current WTR endorsements
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery
- Background in civil construction, earthworks, roading, infrastructure or quarry environments
- Confident operating machinery in a busy site environment
- Strong understanding of levels, grades and site specifications
- GPS/machine control experience is highly advantageous
- Reliable, hardworking and safety-focused
- Able to work well as part of a crew
- Class 2, 4 or 5 licence advantageous
