EQUIP People is seeking an experienced Stone Finisher
to join a busy stone manufacturing workshop in Wellington.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience finishing engineered stone, granite, marble or similar materials. You'll play a key role in producing high-quality finished products, working independently while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship, quality and safety.
What You'll Be Doing
- Hand polishing and finishing stone bench tops, vanities and fireplaces
- Completing undermount, flush mount and overmount sink finishes
- Fabricating mitred edges across a range of stone products
- Completing hob cut-outs and drainer grooves
- Preparing joints and carrying out stone sealing where required
- Trimming and finishing components using workshop machinery
- Inspecting products for quality, grain matching and finish consistency
- Maintaining hand tools, grinders and work areas
- Following strict health and safety procedures, including dust management
- Assisting with general factory duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in stone finishing, fabrication or a similar trade
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Experience using grinders, polishers and hand tools
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Full NZ Driver Licence preferred
- Reliable with excellent time management
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
