EQUIP People is looking for an experienced STMS Cat A/B (Practising) to join a busy traffic management team supporting civil, infrastructure and maintenance projects across the Wellington region.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can confidently manage traffic management operations, lead crews and ensure worksites are safe, organised and compliant.
The role will start on a casual basis, with ongoing opportunities available for the right person.
What You'll Be Doing
- Setting up, monitoring and managing temporary traffic management sites
- Working in line with approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
- Leading and supervising TTM crews
- Conducting site inspections and safety checks
- Identifying and managing site hazards and risks
- Liaising with clients, contractors and road users
- Ensuring traffic management requirements are followed on site
- Completing site documentation and reporting as required
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
What We're Looking For
- Current STMS Cat A/B Practising qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience working as an STMS
- Strong understanding of Temporary Traffic Management and approved TMPs
- Experience working across Category A and Category B environments
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable and safety focused
- Ability to work flexible hours when required
Highly Desirable
- Class 2 Driver Licence
- Civil construction or road maintenance experience
