EQUIP People is looking for experienced STMS Cat A and Cat B professionals to join our pool of traffic management workers across the Wellington region.
We work with established civil, infrastructure and traffic management contractors, with opportunities ranging from ongoing assignments through to longer-term projects.
Although these positions are offered on a casual employment agreement, we're looking for people who want consistent hours and reliable ongoing work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Depending on the site and level of responsibility, you may be involved in:
- Setting up, maintaining and packing down traffic management sites
- Implementing and managing Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TTMPs)
- Supervising TTM crews where required
- Carrying out site inspections and hazard assessments
- Ensuring traffic management requirements are followed
- Liaising with site managers, clients and the public
- Completing relevant traffic management documentation
- Maintaining a strong focus on site safety and compliance
What We're Looking For
- Current STMS Cat A or Cat B qualification
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence
- Good understanding of temporary traffic management practices
- Reliable and safety-focused approach
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Highly Regarded
- Class 2 licence and experienced manual driving
- TMO qualification
- Civil construction experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience managing more complex traffic management sites
