EQUIP People is effectively a Labour Hire business with branches in Wellington, Palmerston North and Hastings, and we've recently set up in Rolleston / Selwyn District to service one of New Zealand's fastest-growing regions.
We also provide recruitment solutions in technical and commercial spaces, as well as more generalist permanent positions nationally.
This opportunity is more Industrial / Blue Collar oriented.
Our Rolleston branch is already getting busy, so we're looking for someone who's good with people, confident talking to clients and not afraid to get on site and on the phone to make things happen for our clients - while having some fun doing it.
Ideally, you may reside in Selwyn or the surrounding areas, as we pitch ourselves as locals supporting locals. Our service offering does push into the big smoke too, so living locally isn't a deal breaker.
You may already be a Recruiter, preferring the Account Management side of the industry, or you could be coming from Sales or a hands-on industrial background and looking for a change of pace.
If you know how trades and labour environments work and enjoy building relationships, this could be a great fit.
The Role
This is a people-first, results-driven role with a strong focus on Account Management rather than being desk-based.
You'll look after existing clients, understand their workforce requirements and make sure we deliver what they need. You'll be supported by a National Talent Coordinator and Business Development function, so your focus is on your clients, candidates and on-hire workforce.
You'll be out talking to clients, visiting sites, staying connected with workers and making things happen - rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Looking after existing clients and checking in regularly
- Understanding client workforce requirements and delivering the right people
- Interviewing and placing workers
- Supporting and managing on-hire staff
- Getting out on site and staying connected with clients and workers
- Making sure Health & Safety requirements are followed
- Building crews through your networks, mates and community connections
- Developing strong, long-term relationships with clients and workers
- Supporting the continued growth of the Rolleston branch
What We're After
- Industrial Recruitment experience OR strong people / sales skills in construction, transport, logistics, manufacturing or similar
- Comfortable talking to tradies, labourers, Team Leaders and business owners
- Motivated, organised and prepared to back yourself
- Straight-up communicator who follows through and delivers
- Practical approach and willingness to get out from behind the desk
- Full NZ driver's licence
