EQUIP People are looking for an experienced Gardener
to join a well-established horticultural team in Wellington for an 8-week temporary assignment.
This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces. You'll be helping care for landscaped gardens, plant collections, amenity areas and public spaces while supporting the wider team with day-to-day horticultural work.

What You'll Be Doing
- Planting, weeding, mulching, watering and general garden maintenance
- Maintaining garden beds, shrub borders, landscaped areas and amenity spaces
- Assisting with seasonal planting and bedding programmes
- Monitoring and carrying out basic checks on irrigation systems
- Cleaning and maintaining pathways, garden assets and signage
- Operating and completing routine maintenance on gardening tools and equipment
- Assisting with soil improvement and plant health programmes
- Working safely and contributing positively within a team environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance or horticultural experience
- Strong work ethic and good attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable completing outdoor manual work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Good time management skills and the ability to follow direction
- Full New Zealand driver licence preferred
- Horticultural qualifications or industry certifications are advantageous but practical experience will also be considered
