EQUIP People are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 4 Concrete Driver to support concrete deliveries across Christchurch construction sites.
This role suits someone with strong driving ability, practical common sense and a good understanding of site safety and delivery expectations.
Duties include:
• Operating concrete mixer trucks safely and efficiently
• Delivering ready-mix concrete to commercial and residential sites
• Completing pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Communicating with dispatch and site teams regarding deliveries
• Assisting with loading, unloading and washout procedures
• Completing delivery paperwork and required documentation accurately
• Maintaining safe driving and site practices at all times
• Reporting faults, maintenance concerns or delivery issues promptly
This role involves both automatic and manual vehicles, so confidence operating both is essential.
What We’re Looking For
• Current Class 4 New Zealand Driver Licence
• Previous concrete driving or heavy vehicle experience preferred
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic trucks
• Road Ranger gearbox experience highly desirable
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Strong communication skills and practical problem-solving ability
• Reliable, punctual, and safety focused
• Able to work independently and follow instructions
• Good understanding of site safety and delivery processes
