EQUIP People is looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers to join an established Christchurch civil crew working across ongoing infrastructure projects.
This role is suited to someone who is confident behind the wheel but is also happy to get out of the truck and get stuck into the work. Sump truck, hydro excavation and general civil experience would be highly regarded.
You’ll be working alongside an experienced crew, helping with excavation, drainage and infrastructure work while operating Class 2 vehicles and equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating Class 2 sump/hydro excavation trucks
- Supporting hydro excavation and civil infrastructure work
- Assisting with drainage, trenching and general site work
- Loading, unloading and positioning equipment as required
- Working alongside the civil crew to keep jobs moving
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Following site procedures and health & safety requirements
- Getting involved with general labouring when required
What We’re Looking For
- Current NZ Class 2 licence
- Previous experience operating sump trucks, hydro excavation equipment or similar
- Civil, drainage or infrastructure experience preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors and doing physical site work
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a crew
- Good communication and a practical, hands-on approach
Highly Desirable
- Hydro excavation experience
- Sump truck experience
- Civil/drainage background
- WTR endorsements
- Experience working around underground services
