EQUIP People is looking for one or two experienced Carpenters or Builders
to join an architectural house build in Himatangi. We're looking for people who can hit the ground running, work accurately and take pride in producing quality work.
Qualified carpenters are the priority, particularly those confident with framing and detailed timber work. An experienced hammerhand with solid practical skills, common sense and the ability to work independently will also be considered.
There is an urgent need for people to get started as soon as possible, ideally tomorrow, with further residential and commercial construction projects coming up across the region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Internal wall framing and general carpentry
- Working on large timber gable ends
- Installing bamboo cladding
- Measuring, setting out and working accurately to instructions
- Assisting with general building and construction tasks
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Maintaining a tidy, organised and safe worksite
- Working alongside the builder to keep the project progressing
What We're Looking For
- Qualified carpenters/builders strongly preferred
- Proven residential construction or carpentry experience
- Confidence with framing, measuring and setting out
- Ability to follow instructions and work to a good standard
- Reliable, practical and safety-conscious
- Own tools and reliable transport preferred
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
Experienced hammerhands are also encouraged to apply
if you have strong practical building skills, can confidently use tools and are ready to get stuck in.
